Working Principle


The HR150 high-pressure thermodynamic steam trap operates based on thermodynamic characteristics. When the condensate water is discharged into a lower-pressure area, secondary evaporation occurs. There are differences in viscosity, density, etc. between the condensate water and steam, and these differences are utilized to drive the opening and closing components. When steam enters the steam trap, a certain pressure is formed inside the trap. Since steam has a lower density and a higher flow rate compared to condensate water, a low-pressure area is formed above the valve disc, causing the valve disc to close and preventing steam leakage. When the condensate water accumulates to a certain extent, the changes in its pressure and flow rate will disrupt the low-pressure area above the valve disc, causing the valve disc to open and allowing the condensate water to be discharged. This cycle repeats to achieve automatic drainage of the condensate water.
